Obituary for Martha Leana Hardin

Martha Leana   Hardin
Martha Leana Hardin, 81, of Dawsonville passed away Monday July 27, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born March 11, 1934 in Atlanta to the late Oliver Wendall and Rennie T. Hagood, she had lived in Dawson County for over 20 years having moved from Midway. For a number of years she owned and operated Edith’s Florist in Alpharetta after which she worked several years as a floral associate for Kroger. She was also formerly employed by the Dawson County School Transportation Department. A member of the First Baptist Church of Alpharetta, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Anna Grace DiBrito.
Surviving are her children, Wesley and Debbie Hardin, Anderson, SC, Wanda Hardin, Dahlonega, Sam Hardin, Suches, Cindy and Bobby Sheriff, Dawsonville, Chris Hardin, Alpharetta, June and John Hardy, Dawsonville; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 1, 2015 at 4 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Scott Sorrels will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 until 4 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Partnership for Gynecological Cancer Support, P. O. Box 499, Murrayville, Georgia 30564.
