Obituary for Terry Alan Jones

Terry Alan  Jones
Terry Alan Jones, 61, of Dawsonville passed away Monday October 5, 2015 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Born October 22, 1953 in Atlanta to the late Seaborn and June Jones, he has lived in Dawson County since 1999 having moved from Ellenwood. Terry retired as a foreman with General Motors after 35 years of service and was the assistant manager of Athens Boat Club where he considered all the members his family. He believed in hard work and was very devoted to his family. An avid outdoorsman, Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and football. He attended Cornerstone Christian Church and was also preceded in death by a brother, Seaby Jones.
Surviving are his children, Terry Alan, Jr. and Robin Jones, Dahlonega, Cody Evan Jones, Dahlonega, Cassidy Rae Jones, Dawsonville; grandson, Preston Alan Jones; brothers and sisters in law, Dennis C. and Celeste Jones, Locust Grove, Gary and Ginger Jones, McDonough; sister, Tami Camp, McDonough.
A memorial service will be held Sunday October 11, 2015 at 2 o’clock at the pavilion at Athens Boat Club. Rev. Joe Gaines will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday October 8, 2015 from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Terry’s memory to Cornerstone Christian Church, 236 Etowah River Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
