Alberta R. Carlisle, 88, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday November 26, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born February 21, 1927 in Toccoa, Georgia to the late John Frank and Sallie Ramey, she had lived in Dawson County since the 1960’s. A homemaker at her death, Mrs. Carlisle was formerly employed at the Holiday Inn in Gainesville, Oasis Laundry and The Corner Café. Alberta was also preceded in death by her husband, Benny Carlisle; children, Michael Ramey, Peggy Jean Carlisle, Robert Carlisle; great granddaughter, Katlyn Graham; two sisters and six brothers.
Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn Thomason, Dawsonville; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday November 29, 2015 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ruel Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to assist with final expenses.
