I am so very sorry to hear about Welker's passing. He was such a sweet little boy in my kindergarten class. I have not seen him in years, but as I look at his picture I can still see that little 5 year old face full of kindness and sweetness. I know he grew into a remarkable young man as well. Welker was one of my favorites (Chess too). As a matter of fact, y'all were one of my favorite families. You always seemed so close. I hope all those sweet memories you made as a family will bring you comfort during this very difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless You!!!

Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of Welker. He was among my first students at DCHS, and I have such fond memories of him dropping by my classroom on a daily basis and making me laugh out loud with everything he said or did, including the rainy day he was walking down the hall with an open umbrella because the roof of the old building was leaking so badly!! He made many of my days so much better and brighter, and I will forever remember him that way. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
