Obituary for Joyce Grigsby

Joyce  Grigsby
Joyce Grigsby, 77, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday October 2, 2016 following a period of declining health.
Born July 16, 1939 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Thomas Lester and Beulah Richie, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 49 years. Joyce was formerly employed at the Dawson County Senior Center and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Denver Grigsby, and brothers, Ray Richie and Kenneth Richie.
Surviving are her children, Ronnie and Wanda Grigsby, Dawsonville, Nita and Chad Richards, Bethlehem, GA; grandchildren, Matthew and Jenna Cantin, Kevin and Erin Grigsby, Corey and Shelby Cantin, Drew and Jessica Grigsby, Sam and Cory Sheriff, Shanee and Josh Diemer, Michelle and Will Robinson; 13 great grandchildren, special nephew, Michael Allen and his wife Peggy; special niece, Sandra Bales and her husband Roy; sister, Pat Goode, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 and on Saturday from 2 until 6 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 222, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
