Obituary for James "Donny" Shelton II

James "Donny"  Shelton II
James “Donny” Shelton II, 45, of Cumming passed away Wednesday January 4, 2017 at Northside Hospital Forsyth following a sudden illness.
Born June 9, 1971, Donny had been a resident of Cumming for most of his life. A 1990 graduate of Forsyth County High School, he had been employed by Windstream Communications for the past 10 years. A loving and devoted husband, son, father and grandfather, he was preceded in death by beloved grandmothers, Katie Shelton and Sue Meadows.
Surviving are his wife, Tammy Lynn Shelton, Cumming; children, Andrew Shelton, Dawsonville, Ansley and Bret Parham, Dahlonega, Chase Samples, Cumming; parents, Don and JoAnn Shelton, Cumming; granddaughter, Brooklyn Parham; sister and brother in law, Jill and Jeff Harwood, Cumming; nephews, Hudson and Cayden Harwood; other relatives.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday January 12, 2017 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Bearden Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help offset final expenses.
