Obituary for Lucille Lowman

Lucille  Lowman
Lucille Lowman, 92, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday August 16, 2014 at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain following a period of declining health.
Born August 15, 1922 in Lumpkin County to the late Raymond Roscoe and Lelia Alice Thurmond, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. Mrs. Lowman was a homemaker and a member of Juno Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Coy Lowman; brother, Buster “Bully” Thurmond; and sisters, Marie Crane and Alene Slaton.
Surviving are her sons and daughters in law, Robert and Wanda Lowman, Canton, Lee and Gail Lowman, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Dorothy and Billie Singleton, Dawsonville; sister in law, Selma Lowman, Dawsonville; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 19, 2014 at 3 o’clock at Juno Baptist Church. Rev. Tommy Weldy, Rev. Tim Biddy and Rev. Dennis Bottoms will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 until 9 at the funeral home.
