Obituary for Davis C. Pennington

Davis C.  Pennington
Davis C. Pennington, 71, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday November 11, 2014 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born December 10, 1942 in Atlanta, GA to the late Davis C., Sr. and Winifred Pennington, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 25 years having moved from Tucker. Mr. Pennington retired as a manager with Boles Parts Supply with over 35 years of service. He loved living on Lake Lanier and enjoyed many years of boating, camping and outdoor life. Davis was loved by many, will be missed by all and is now in Heaven with his grandson, Hampden “Tiger” Ipser, IV.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Betty Pennington, Dawsonville; daughters and sons in law, Kim and Pete VanDusen, Cleveland, TN, Louise and Jeff Plavcan, Stone Mountain; sister and brother in law, Janis and Bob Kohm, Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Nichole VanDusen, Christian VanDusen, Nicholas and Ashley Plavcan; great grandchildren, Madison Eve Plavcan, Katherine Nichole Plavcan.
Funeral services will be held Friday November 14, 2014 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Buster Stapp will officiate. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. until the service time.
