Obituary for Carl Hyrns

Carl  Hyrns
Carl Hyrns, 79, of Dawsonville passed away Monday January 5, 2015 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Born October 1, 1935 in Kissimmee, Florida, he lived in Pickens County since 2008 having moved from Gainesville. Mr. Hyrns worked for 18 years as a cook in Kissimmee, Ft. Walton and Orlando, FL. Until his retirement he was employed at the High Hope Service Center in Lawrenceville. Carl was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. An accomplished singer, for many years he sang in bands in Florida. He was preceded in death by a son, Buck Hyrns.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Evelyn Hyrns, Dawsonville; sons and daughters in law, Dan and Pam Price, Austin, TX, Donnie Price, Dawsonville, Darrell and Tammy Price, Dawsonville; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday January 9, 2015 from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
