Jean, Deana and family, I am so sorry to learn of Richard's passing. Even though he and my husband Richard had been friends for close to 70 years, I was privileged to meet Richard and Jean only 15 years ago. It didn't take long after meeting them for me to realize why my Richard Ledford called Richard Strawn his best friend. I'm sure the two Richards are now in Heaven having a wonderful time talking about their fishing trips and who caught the biggest one. As you go thru these difficult days, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My prayers go out to his family. Richard was an honorable man and a true friend. He loved the Lord and he was a great Christian example for us all. A patriot who loved his country, state and local community, he will be truly missed. Clint Smith

Richard was our hero. He was the one we named our oldest son after. He was like a father to my husband. The world is a better place because of the legacy Richard leaves behind. Our love to Jean and Deena. We love y’all! Joe and Donna Robertson

Richard is without a doubt the most amazing man I have ever known. His giving nature and positive attitude about life was contagious. He was a light where ever he went. I will always be grateful to him the things he taught me and for allowing me to be his friend. Jean and Deena and your family are all in our prayers.
