Obituary for Marla Bennett Lemley

Marla Bennett Lemley, 56, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday June 9, 2016 following a sudden illness.
Born May 7, 1960 to the late Lyman and Bronscile “Tommie” Bennett, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. She was a 1978 graduate of Dawson County High School and worked as a receptionist at Paw Spa Resort. Marla was a member of Winds of Peace Fellowship and loved spending time outdoors, enjoyed quilting, reading, her dog Seger, and riding dirt roads.
Surviving are her husband, James Lemley, Dawsonville; son, Eric Sheffield, Dawsonville; sister Lynn Nahlik, Dawsonville; brothers, Terry Phillips, Hartwell, Sam Phillips, Lavonia; grandchildren, Andrew Sheffield, Tim Turner, and Tyler Turner.
Funeral services will be held Sunday June 12, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tommy Panter and Pastor Ricky Stepp will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 3 until 8 at the funeral home.
