Obituary for Gail Brownlee Fortune

Gail Brownlee  Fortune
Gail Brownlee Fortune, 72, of Dawsonville passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 following an extended illness.
Mrs. Fortune was born April 5, 1944 to the late Terrel and Grace Brownlee. She had been a resident of Dawson County for the past 15 years and previously of Charleston, SC and Snellville, GA. Gail was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon. She was an avid gardener and read her Bible daily. An encouraging, dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jo Fortune Kinney.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Joe Fortune, Dawsonville; daughters and sons in law, Beth Fortune Young, Cumming, Amy and Mark Lowe, Evansville, Indiana, John Foster Kinney, Blairsville; grandchildren, Joe, Molly, Bailey, Peter, Foster, Brady; sister and brother in law, Sandra and Ed Bingham, Big Canoe; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday January 28, 2017 at 3 PM at Grace Presbyterian Church. Rev. David Jordan and Rev. Mark Lowe will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until 2:30 PM on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Good Shepherd Clinic of Dawson County, 452 Hwy. 53 E #1009, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
